Clustered into shared residential experiences around campus, student residences create a shared undergraduate experience, foster diverse and inclusive communities, and enrich academic life.
More than just physical living spaces, residential life at Northwestern works to promote a sense of community and support student success. Students who enroll will receive official information directly from Residential Services regarding next steps but, in the meantime, we wanted to provide a small preview for admitted students.
Want a closer look at housing? Feel free to visit the Incoming Undergraduates page on the Residential Services website.
All members of the Class of 2028 participate in a shared residential experience under Northwestern’s two-year residency requirement. After satisfying the tuition and housing deposit requirements, you may access the online housing contract between March 1 and June 1 and share your housing preferences. You will be able to edit your housing preferences and submit roommate requests through June 1. In early August you will receive your housing assignment via your Northwestern email account. For more information, visit the Residential Services webpage.
